Hey everyone,

I mentioned that I was hoping to post a video here this afternoon to give you all something to work on for Thursday. Unfortunately, everything has been turned all backwards this week what with all the winter weather we have been having. So, while I apologize for not getting a video to you, I hope you will enjoy the break and be good workers on Thursday (like you always are).

The winter weather has also changed our schedule for this weekend as well. It seems that West Johnston will actually be holding classes that day, and the show is being pushed back until after school lets out. I am sorry for the inconvenience, but I should have a new schedule to you soon!

There will be no rehearsal on Tuesday, February 2! Please check back here that afternoon for videos of things you can work on before I see you all on Thursday, and check your email for additional information!

We are nearing the date of our first performance! Please be sure that your pants are hemmed and all flags are completed for next Tuesday.

As for makeup and hair…you will need navy blue eyeshadow and silver glitter eyeliner. Mascara is always an option, and let’s keep lip color minimal; a light gloss (maybe pink) should be good. Please bring these items on Thursday so we can practice putting them on. Hair should be parted to the left, twisted or braided down either side and pulled into a low ponytail. You MUST use gel AND hairspray to pull your hair back; we cannot have flyaways!

Also check your closet for a plain light blue top (just in case we do not have uniform tops in time – I want to be prepared). Bring this along with your pants on Thursday as well.

9:30pm – load up and depart West Johnston High School
10:30pm – arrive at C.E. Jordan High School. Go home.

Thanks to all of you who were able to help out today! We managed to get the majority of the work done today and the floor looks great! We just need one more coat of “ocean” on the back half and a few waves and we’re good to go! Right now the plan for completing this task is to stay after rehearsal on Tuesday. Again, stay if you can, it’s not mandatory if you have something you are already committed to. We will plan to be back in the cafeteria, and my hope is to get cleaned up and out by 9:00pm.

Also, please keep bringing in completed flags!!! I will be sending the blue and green ones home on Tuesday to get edges and casings too! We have very little time to get these done in time to practice for our first show!

Your t-shirts are in, and we will likely take a group photo for your new website banner on Tuesday.

Our floor painting will be held this Thursday from 9am-3pm. If all of you who can attend are there at 9am, we should be done in only a few hours. Please wear clothes that you don’t mind getting paint on! If you have one of the pole extensions for paint rollers and/or paint rollers, please bring them with you, so we can work faster! We will talk more about this on Tuesday.
